Robert Clark Sr.
VASSALBORO – Robert Gene Clark Sr. (89) passed away on March 9 2023, at Togus VA Medical Center with his family present. Clark was born on December 20, 1933. He is the son of Harold Clark and Phyllis Davis.
Bob is a 1953 graduate of Bridgton High School. After graduation, Bob proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for four years.
He married Janice C. Sanborn in December 1956. They settled down on Cross Hill Road, Vassalboro and raised their five kids there. Bob worked as a machine operator at Scott Paper, Waterville for many years. Bob was a volunteer for many years at Bread of Life Ministries in Augusta and Wildlife Care Center, Vassalboro. He mowed lawns every summer there for more than 25 years.
Bob, a Mainer who was proud of his land and farm, took great pride in it. Bob was always working on something, be it cutting wood, harvesting garlic bulbs, or haying. Over the years, he took good care of his farm animals and loved dogs. Bob is remembered for being a man of hard work and humor.
Predeceased were his brother Ronald Clark, a grandson Colin Cronin and great-granddaughter Grace Elizabeth.
His wife Janice Clark, his children Jody Jones, Jill Spicer, Robert Clark Jr., Julie Cronin, Michael Cronin, Jolene Gamage, his sister Kathleen Sjogren, his grandchildren Ted, Janice and Jody; Whitney, Lindsey and Alivia; Garrett, Riley and Abby; Samantha; Katie; Mitchell; Maggie; Addison and Addison, Katie; Mitchell; Maggie; Addison and Addison, Addison and Maggie; 14 great-grandchildren and
